GRAPH #1 Graph #1 shows the relationship of the supply water temperature with respect to the actual outside air temperature. This graph illustrates the performance of a typical indoor/outdoor reset system circuit. This was the existing design reset schedule for this case study. Sensing point (F) on FIGURE #2 is the location where the supply water temperature readings were obtained and sensing point (G) on FIGURE #2 is the location where the actual outside air temperature readings were obtained. The supply water temperature increases as the outside air temperature decreases. Control from only the outside air temperature mistakenly assumes that the only factor worth considering in hot water reset is the dry bulb outside air temperature. 8.131
