SUGGESTED MIXING BOX SYSTEM BAS CONSERVATION LOGIC HOT DUCT E L EMCOTTROORN I C SUPPLY AIR SPACE TO ROOM (TYPISCEANLSOOFR 5?) COLD DUCT BAS MODULATES HOT DUCT BASED MODULATES COLD DUCT BASED ON COOLEST SAMPLE ROOM ON WARMEST SAMPLE ROOM TEMPERATURE. TEMPERATURE. 1) Suggested three to five sample rooms on the fan system have their pneumatic damper actuators replaced with a BELIMO actuator and the same rooms have their pneumatic thermostat replaced with a space sensor. 2) Each room’s mixing box is controlled based on its BAS space sensor information. To have the mixing box on full hot duct at 21˚C and modulate to full cold duct at 22˚C. All sample rooms must be set identically. 3) The BAS will determine the room with the most requirement for heat that will modulate the hot duct temperature from 21˚C when the space sensor is at 21˚C to 55˚C when the space temperature is at 20˚C. 4) The BAS will determine the room with the most requirement for cooling that will modulate the cold duct temperature from 22˚C when the space temperature is 22˚C to 13˚C when the space temperature is 24˚C. 5) The BAS will assure the system of at least minimum ventilation during occupied times. 6) The BAS will limit the hot duct temperature on the high end based on the design reset schedule. 7) The BAS will limit the cold duct to a minimum temperature of 13˚C. SPACE TEMPERATURE MIXING BOX POSITION HOT DUCT COLD DUCT 24˚C (75.2˚F) FULL COLD DUCT NO HEAT MAXIMUM COOLING (13˚C) COLD DUCT RESET FROM MAXIMUM COOLING TO NO COOLING FROM 24˚C TO 22˚C. 22˚C (71.6˚F) FULL COLD DUCT NO HEAT NO COOLING BOXES MIXING HOT/COLD DUCTS NO HEAT NO COOLING 21˚C (69.8˚F) FULL HOT DUCT NO HEAT NO COOLING HOT DUCT RESET FROM NO HEATING TO MAXIMUM HEATING FROM 21˚C TO 20˚C. 20˚C (68˚F) FULL HOT DUCT FULL HEAT NO COOLING NOTE: If all of the sample rooms are modulating their mixing boxes, there will be no heating and no cooling from the fan systems.
